Superlite Rules:

One Class combining:

125cc 2 Stroke air cooled max capacity 125cc

180cc 4 stroke air cooled max capacity 189cc

Frames:
Frames shall be from homologated, non-competition, Road or Trail machines only. Frames can be twin shock or single shock design

Ace125 4 stroke model.

Honda:
CB 125E, CB 100/125/175 K, J, S, N, T, CB200,
XL100/125/175/185, SL100/125, SL175 H 100, MT125, CT100/125/185, XR200

Modifications may be made to the frame to allow the fitment of race seat, triple clamps (steering stops), shock mount positions, and fuel tanks. The addition of bracing and removal of unnecessary brackets. No restrictions on the use of swing arms.

Forks:
Forks sizes are free. Conventional forks only, no upside down forks.

Engines:
Heads, Barrels & Crankcases shall be from homologated non-competition Road or Trail machines only. The following are currently homologated:

Engine Modifications:

4 stroke Cylinder head modifications:
(Only 2 valves per cylinder are permitted on 4 strokes)

4 stroke cylinder heads shall remain in original configuration i.e. Valves shall retain original angles and position and shall remain standard sizes only.
Maximum valve sizes: Inlet 30mm, Exhaust 26mm.

Porting is permitted

Camshaft modifications are permitted. Note: Camshafts that interchange between homologated models may be used. i.e. CB may be used in XL, GS may be used in DR etc.

2 stroke cylinder modifications:

2 stroke barrels/cylinders shall be restricted to an exhaust port width of 70% of the bore diameter with the standard number of ports ONLY.

Brakes:

Brake modifications are free.

Tyres:

Tyres to be readily available in Australia; No slicks or wet racing tyres; Tyres are to be as they left the manufacturer, No modifications (ie. No re grooving) Tyre sizes free

Fuel:

Shall be as per the GCRs. No additives or (octane boosters) other than oil for lubrication.

Induction:

Induction will be by carburettors only.
28mm (carburettor maximum on 2 strokes).

  • No fuel injection.
  • No forced air induction.

Fairings:

Full fairing allowed.

These capacities are maximum sizes, a tolerance of 5% is included within these capacities.
Open to any grade of rider.

Shall be as per the GCRs only.

Production based ADR 4 stroke 150 to 200cc sports and commuter motorcycles. Minimum weight 120Kgms.

Commuterlite Rules:

Racing class open to all 4 stroke 125cc Commuter Bikes.
To be eligible for racing, the motorcycle must have:
ADR Compliance.
Standard 4 stroke engine of 125cc.
The motorcycle must be made to comply with any general requirements of road racing rules in the MOMS.
The following items may be modified from OEM.
Body work may be removed or replaced, provided the replacement bodywork provides a similar profile as OEM see…
Carburettor jetting / Fuel injection mapping.
Air filter, air box may be modified / removed.
Exhaust system.
External gearing and drive chain.
Tyres: No Slicks or Wet Weather Racing Tyres.
Brake pad material, braided brake lines allowed.
Handlebars, hand and foot controls.
Front Fork springs and internals.
Rear shock(s) and springs.
Instrument cluster may be removed or replaced with aftermarket instruments.
Pillion sub-frame may be modified. ( Only as per Figure 1 see below)

Supertwins

450-700cc 4 stroke machines with 2 cylinders. Specific class rules as per RRAT Class description at www.rrat.com.au and as per GCRs.

All machines except Aprilia RS660:
Engine modifications permitted provided commercially available for machine.
Suspension, Brake, and Wheel modifications permitted provided commercially available for machine.
Forks, Wheels, and Brake assemblies may be substituted for other components provided they are of OEM commercially available origin.
Bodywork modifications open provided securely fitted with minimum 4 points of fixture per panel.
Aprilia RS660 specific rules:
Engine internals, Airbox, Throttle Bodies and Velocity Stacks must remain as per OEM.
Fork outer tubes must remain OEM – aftermarket fork internals permitted .
Aftermarket rear suspension units permitted.
Wheels and Brake Callipers to remain OEM – aftermarket Brake Master Cylinder, Brake Pads and Brake Lines permitted.

Clubman (non-competitive)

Non competitive class open to all machines including road registered. Bike prep and safety requirements www.rrat.com.au.

Clubman class (also known as ‘Track days or ride days’) is an awesome way to enjoy your bike without the worries of being nicked for speed. RRAT clubman class is a perfect way to learn your bike inside out and to improve your skill set and progress to racing if desired.

You will need:

  1. To become a member of RRAT.
  2. 2 Piece zip together leathers OR full leathers, motorcycle boots, leather gloves and a full-face helmet of an approved standard (As approved under the FIM Technical Rules) are REQUIRED.
  3. Bike with good tyres and brakes, all lights and mirrors taped up and speedo taped over. No leaks, no gear racks, no loose anything on the bike and NO glycol. You can now buy excellent coolant that is NON GLYCOL BASED.
  4. All bikes and gear will be scrutineered. (E.G. if a helmet has crash grooves in it or gloves with holes you will NOT pass). RRAT Clubman class forms part of our race meetings with Clubman given equal track time.
  5. All our events are covered by Motorcycling Australia, you will be required to enter the event on RIDERNET and purchase a ONE EVENT NON COMPETION LICENCE.
  6. Medical is on site at all our meetings.
  7. Clubman classes at this stage are split into two groups (A and B), as you improve you will be moved to the next fastest group OR moved back a group to better suit your skill level. This is based on lap times, which are available on Speedhive. You can download the APP from the website.
  8. RRAT offers a friendly environment and does not discriminate in any manner, bad behaviour WILL result in you being removed from the event, with a never to return.
250 Supersport / Production 300

250 – 300cc PRODUCTION SPECIFICATION. As per current GCR’s. Excludes supermoto machines.

Historics (Periods 1-4 & Periods 5-6)

All Historic classes up to and including P6 unlimited. Log Book required for historic classes.

Formula 3

Multi cylinder 4 stroke 255 – 400 cc, Twin cylinder 4 stroke 255 – 650 cc, Twin cylinder 2 stroke 250 cc, Single cylinder 2/4 stroke 250 cc – 400cc/255cc – 1000cc, Excludes 450cc 3 cylinder 600cc machines. Specific class rules as per RRAT Class description at www.rrat.com.au and as per GCRs.

Production 400

400-500cc Production class. As per class description www.rrat.com.au and GCRs
